Jay-Z and Beyonce Collaborate for Dr. Dre's "Detox"

It's been almost five years since Jay-Z and Beyoncé released a collaboration, but they're breaking their cold streak. Hip-hop's royal couple has allegedly recorded vocals on the same track for Dr. Dre's mythical 'Detox' album, with Jay and Dre taking on verse duties and the R&B singer holding it down on the chorus.

"Jay and Dre have recorded their verses with the chorus left open for Beyonce to sing," a source told The Sun.

The last time that Jay and Bey graced the same song was on Hov's 2007 album 'American Gangster' on the track 'Pray,' though she relegated her contribution to spoken word instead of singing. Together, they have earned some of the biggest hits of their career, with Beyoncé's breakout solo single 'Crazy in Love' topping the charts in 2003 and Jay's ''03 Bonnie & Clyde' became his second top-10 single as a solo artist.

Dr. Dre has been working on his third and last album for over a decade, putting in studio time with everyone from Akon and Snoop Dogg on the single 'Kush,' to Lil' Kim, Eminem, T.I., Raekwon, Common and a slew of others. In January, he revealed that he will finally release the elusive album on April 20.

Ne-Yo Fires Back at Beyonce Over 'Irreplaceable' Comments

R&B singer Ne-Yo has hit back at allegations he "dissed" Beyonce Knowles over her recording of his track "Irreplaceable", insisting his recent comments were not intended to cause offense.

The "So Sick" hitmaker originally wrote the song for himself, but later handed the track to Beyonce and he admitted in a recent interview that he wishes he could have recorded it himself. He said, "One song that I gave away and didn't want to is Beyonce's 'Irreplaceable'. I honestly wrote that song for myself... However, a man singing it comes across a little bit misogynistic, a little bit mean."

Ne-Yo has now been forced to explain his remarks after fans accused him of criticizing the "Crazy in Love" hitmaker. In a series of posts on his Twitter page he writes, "Just heard the audio where I supposedly dissed Beyonce. Are y'all serious!?! Did y'all even listen to what I said!?!"

"I said I originally wrote the song for me. That's true, so of course I didn't want to give it away originally. It was for me. Once I realized how the song comes across if sang by a guy, that's when I decided to give it away. How is that dissing Beyonce!?! She took the song and made it a smash, nobody can deny that."

Thierry Mugler: Beyoncé is a hundred times better than Madonna

French designer Thierry Mugler, who designed all the dresses for Beyoncé’s last tour, gave an interview to Paris-Match. “Beyoncé is THE showgirl! She works non-stop. She’s a hundred times better than Madonna when it comes to dancing and singing. Madonna is in her fifties trying to dye her hair blond to look younger. That’s a mistake! People in their 50s needs to use what they’ve got: style, a good haircut and make-up. All those things are so much more important than three small wrinkles.” #Shade

Beyonce snapped in the studio with Frank Ocean

A barefooted and comfortable looking Beyonce shows that there’s no place like home than the recording studio. The 29-year-old is pictured with Island Def Jam‘s Frank Ocean of Odd Future as they lay down tracks for her hotly anticipated new album. The singer-songwriter has scored one hell of a gig working with the ‘Single Ladies’ songstress because his name is not exactly high profile. Then again, this is what makes the anticipation worthwhile because she’s choosing to work with the not so obvious as well. Beyonce’s first single is widely rumoured to be dropping in April, which if true, would coincide with her headlining gig at Glastonbury festival this coming June.
